Reliance Jio wins Telco to Ace Fixed Broadband award at the Twimbit Telecom Awards 2025

The fixed broadband landscape in India underwent a period of rapid digital expansion, supported by strong infrastructure rollouts and increasing household adoption. Reliance Jio won the Telco to Ace Fixed Broadband award at the Twimbit Telecom Awards in 2024 and 2025, maintaining its leadership in fixed broadband excellence.

Reliance Jio’s leadership was anchored in its position as the Number 1 fixed broadband provider in India. The company reached 14.2 million subscribers, recording a remarkable 34.9 percent growth during the period. Reliance Jio also commanded a 40.6 percent share of India’s fixed broadband market, underscoring its position as the clear market leader in the segment. Its fixed broadband revenue approached USD 990 million, contributing 9.2 percent to overall revenues. Together, these indicators highlighted Jio’s ability to scale rapidly in a competitive duopoly environment.

The company’s momentum was further supported by the strong uptake of Jio AirFiber. Serving 7,722 towns across India, JioAirFiber connected over 2.8 million homes, establishing Jio as the fastest-growing fixed wireless operator. The company outlined an ambition to connect 100 million homes in India and planned to add one million new connections every 30 days to accelerate this nationwide expansion.

Jio also strengthened its value proposition through a comprehensive suite of integrated digital offerings. JioFiber provided an all-in-one entertainment experience that included more than 800 TV channels, 15 OTT applications, JioTV Plus, JioGames and JioStore, enhanced by voice search and internet browsing features. The service delivered up to 1 Gbps internet and free HD voice calls across India, with international calling available at regular rates through the JioJoin App.

Jio’s focus on broadening access, scaling capabilities and enhancing digital services positioned it as a key architect of India’s fixed broadband future. Its consecutive wins at the Twimbit Telecom Awards highlighted not only its market dominance but also its ability to drive transformative impact across the country’s digital infrastructure landscape.
